Every year I host an Autumn Hike in Kamakura.
Come join us and enjoy an afternoon walking the trails of historic Kamakura.
We’ll go on an easy hike through Kamakura Natural Park and hunt for edible mushrooms, stop to have a picnic, tour Zenniarai Benten(the Money-Washing Shrine), and visit a traditional Japanese sweets shop.
Dress casual, carry water, bring a lunch & snacks for yourself, a ground sheet to sit on, cloth gloves, bug spray and money for the Japanese Sweet Shop(around 700-900yen) and some money for yourself to be blessed at the Money temple!
This event is free. Limited to 12 people. Rain or Shine.
SCHEDULE
Catch the monorail 10:00 (170 yen) to Fujimicho and hike to Kamakura Natural Park Tour a carp pond(you can bring stale bread to feed them) and an Herb Garden. Hunt mushroom hot spots and hike to Kamakura Yamanouchi hill.
12:30 reach Genjiyama park and tour the shrine and Plate-breaking shrine.
1:30 Hike down to Zeniarai (Money washing temple) You can wash money and the money will come back to you!
2:30 Visit Sasuke Fox Shrine 3:30 Japanese traditional Sweets shop, Minowa Enjoy kuzu sweets in the outdoor garden. FOX Temple if time allows.
4:30 Finishing. Return to JR Kamakura station.Every year I host an Autumn Hike in Kamakura.
